STANDARD TERMS & CONDITIONS

All tours are subject to minimum numbers. Lakeland Wanaka reserves the right to cancel or postpone trips at its sole discretion or will refund your purchase price if cancelled or postponed by us. All prices are listed in New Zealand dollars (NZD) and are inclusive of GST. Unless otherwise specified, prices are valid from 1 July 2023 until 30 June 2024 and may change without notice.

We, our directions and employees will not be liable to you in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of legislative requirements, damage to property, personal injury, disability, illness or death suffered by your or any other person as a result of the use of the equipment or in connection with any tours or other services provided or any act/omission of any person. If for any reason we do become liable to you or any other person for any reason including contract, tort (including negligence), breach of legislative requirements, damage to property, personal injury, our total liability is limited to the fees you have paid to us for the use of equipment and provisions of the tours or services to you.

In purchasing your Lakeland Wanaka experience you consent to the capturing of videos and photos in which you may feature. This content may be used for promotion sales and marketing material at Lakeland Wanaka’s discretion.

By participating in the use of our equipment or in connection with any tours or other services provided you agree to the terms above.

CANCELATION POLICY

Lakeland Wanaka reserves the right to cancel or amend any tour/departure time due to river/water/weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances at any stage. In this case clients are given an option to rebook or receive a full refund.

Off-Peak: Lakeland Wanaka has a 24-hour cancellation policy whereby any cancellations or changes (due to ANY reason) must be communicated 24 hours or more before your scheduled time of arrival. Bookings cannot be rescheduled more than once. No-shows or cancellations made within 24 hours of departure are non-refundable and non-transferable. ie no refund will be given.

Peak Season: From December 20th to January 20th and during all school holidays, Lakeland Wanaka has a 48-hour cancellation policy whereby any cancellations or changes (due to ANY reason) must be communicated 48 hours or more before your scheduled time of arrival. Bookings cannot be rescheduled more than once. No-shows or cancellations made within 48 hours of departure are non-refundable and non-transferable. ie no refund will be given.

COVID-19 CANCELLATION POLICY: If you unable to make your booking due to isolation requirements, you are sick or have cold, flu/COVID-19 symptoms or New Zealand reverting to Level 3 and unable to travel you will be offered the choice of rescheduling or applying for a refund. If you are sick or have cold, flu or COVID-19 symptoms, stay home and call your doctor or Healthline on 0800 358 5453 to see if you need a test.

Note - Refunds are granted solely at the discretion of Lakeland Wanaka Management. Credit card surcharges and surcharge refunds are subject to local banks etc.

WEATHER: Lakeland Wanaka operates in most conditions however, should the weather be deemed unsafe due to storms, high winds or extreme conditions, all reasonable steps will be taken to reschedule the booking. Should this not be possible a full refund will be given to our customers. Tour cancellations are made by only the Lakeland Wanaka team and may be influenced by any current weather warnings at the time. If we are able to run trips safely however customers do not wish to partake in their activity, no refund will be issued.

TICKET DELIVERY

Upon purchase of your ticket via the Lakeland Wanaka website, confirmation of your order will be emailed to you within 24 hours. Your details will also be stored on our system, if you lose your ticket we can locate this via your booking information ie email, name or contact number.

GIFT VOUCHERS: Vouchers are non refundable, not transferable and not redeemable for cash. Once a booking is made using a gift voucher or a voucher from an activity supplier, the same cancellation policy applies as above; notice of cancellation must be made minimally 24 hours prior to due date. Gift Vouchers purchased with Lakeland Wanaka will not be refunded under any circumstances. If due process of 24 hour notice has not been made the gift voucher will be forfeited.

BOOKING REQUIREMENT: Lakeland Wanaka require a minimum 50% deposit to secure bookings. If deposits are not made, the booking will not be secure, nor guaranteed.
